Corporate Sales Representative
Utah Medical Products, Inc. (UTMD) is hiring entry-level corporate
sales representatives. UTMD, as a small, innovative company based
in Midvale Utah, invents, develops, manufactures and directly markets
specialized medical devices for the care of women and their babies.
This sales position will work out of corporate headquarters, but may
include travel to other states periodically as-needed. A successful
Corporate Sales Representative must be resourceful, achievement-driven
and willing to commit substantial energy and time to work. Daily responsibilities
include processing device sample requests, telephone follow-up with
accounts across the country and face-to-face sales calls to hospitals
and clinics in and outside of the Salt Lake valley. Representatives
also provide training and other customer support to an existing customer
base. The ability to effectively manage multiple projects, including
hitting sales targets in a large sales territory and conducting productive
sales initiatives while staying within budget, is essential. Successful
representatives must also have superior listening skills to understand
customer needs, coupled with substantial clinical knowledge to engage
physicians and nurses in in-depth clinical discussions.
Job Requirements:
* Ability to travel as needed throughout the U.S.
* Ability to dedicate a MINIMUM of 50 hours per week.
* College degree required, BS degree with science training preferred.
* Residence within 30 miles of Midvale, UT.
* Willing to sign confidentiality, code of conduct, and non-compete
agreements.
Annual Compensation: 35K (depending on experience) + Bonus based on performance + Excellent other benefits.
Manufacturer's Representative
In addition to its direct sales force, Utah Medical Products, Inc.
(UTMD) engages independent, experienced, sales professionals who have
developed relationships with clinicians and/or hospital administrators
which may have a need for UTMD’s specialty devices. Although
independent reps are responsible for covering their own selling expenses,
their costs may be low if they are already calling on potential customers
for other reasons. UTMD pays a commission on the ongoing sales of
a device that were initiated by an independent rep as long the rep
remains on contract with UTMD. Because UTMD’s devices are primarily
single-use, they enjoy repeat sales that can accumulate into substantial
